splitty ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Receipt Data: When you scan or import a receipt, the image or URL is processed to extract itemized information. This data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app experience. This includes features used, session duration, and app performance metrics. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Crash Reports: If the app crashes, we may collect diagnostic information to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

Data Storage

Your bill and receipt data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. We do not have access to your personal financial information, payment details, or the contents of your receipts.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Microsoft Azure: For receipt text recognition (OCR). Images are processed and immediately discarded.
  • RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions.
  • PostHog: For anonymous usage analytics.
  • Sentry: For crash reporting and error tracking.

Payment Methods

When you use payment integrations (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, etc.), you are redirected to those services. We do not store or have access to your payment credentials or transaction history.

Your Rights

You can delete all your local data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear Data" option in Settings. Since we don't store personal data on our servers, there's nothing to request deletion of.

Children's Privacy

splitty is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email if you've provided one.
